le lait

well, a friend (Usman) in my previous lab at school is off to vancouver today. he will be missed...too bad he had no time to do anything like pool or coffee before he left since he was way too busy.
so, the weekend was spent doing spring cleaning, getting groceries etc. going to the grocery store is all good but when i get to the cash, i seem to encounter something different each time. today, i gave the girl at the cash the money and was just on my way, everything was quick and easy...hmm, a little too easy...ah well, back to the crib to cook up some grub. i get there, put the stuff away, cook dinner, eat it....waaaait a minute...i bought milk. sure enough, i forgot the milk at the store. son of a crap.
ok, so i'll just take my receipt and explain and everything will go fine so long as i can mix mostly english into my explanation. at the customer service, i immediately tell her in french that my french is terrible and asked if she spoke english...she shook her head...shit. she asked the other girl if she knew any english...nope...i try a couple of simple english words and sure enough, the customer service really don't know english. aww man, fucking milk. i look to my side and see the line behind me grow with people wanting to just pay for their damn food. i bust out the receipt on the counter and work with the french that i have (it was really quite sad, i was trying not to laugh at myself). i tell her, as i run my finger down the receipt, that all of these items.....they are currently at my house....but the miiiiilk....surely enough she completed my statement and she understood everything..SUCCESS!! stupid fucking milk...turned out they didn't have the same kind as i bought, so a couple of other things needed to be done but at the end of it all, i got mon lait...biotch!
